Additionally, the company will launch its first-ever 35-day “Civil War Battlefields” cruise, encompassing stops at over 20 historical battlefields.
An incredible record-breaking expedition
August marks a historic moment for American Cruise Lines as it unveils its 61-day “Great United States” itinerary, touted as the longest river cruise in the country’s history.
This remarkable journey will cross the entire Mississippi River, spanning 20 states and featuring visits to three national parks, four rivers, and exploration along the East Coast and the Hudson River.
Expanding the fleet and planning for the future
With a fleet of 19 small ships and riverboats, American Cruise Lines is expanding its reach across the United States.
This year, the vessels will dock at more than 140 U.S. ports, from the East Coast to inland rivers.
The company’s ambitious growth strategy includes plans to triple its fleet size over the past five years.
Currently, five additional ships are under construction at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland, focusing on further expanding its footprint on the Mississippi River.

American Cruise Lines’ expansion aligns with the growing interest in U.S. tourism, offering travelers unparalleled opportunities to explore the country’s rich history, natural beauty, and vibrant culture.
